About Us

Brooks / Masline Costumes was founded in 2023 by owner/operators Sam Brooks and Ryan and Masline. Ryan and Sam originally met in 2013 while they were both building costumes for the Broadway revival of The King and I.  Their careers took them on separate paths for the next few years until they found themselves working on the same touring production out of town. The conversations in that basement wardrobe room laid the foundation for what has become Brooks/ Masline Costumes. Located in Jersey City, a mere stonesthrow from Manhattan, Ryan and Sam pride themselves on building costumes with a holistic approach. They apply their years of varied industry experience to create a costumes that tell beautiful stories while withstanding the unique rigors of theatre, film, and television.  Ryan and Sam believe that making costumes should be a creative, collaborative, and ultimately fun experience.
